Optique Opticians is an independent, family owned practice in the heart of Bramhall. Our owner optometrist, Lobat has a wealth of knowledge gained from working for 12 years at Manchester Eye Hospital and now running her own practice since 2009.
When it comes to your eyesight, you simply cannot afford to compromise. All of us only have one set of eyes – and so it is important to be sure you are taking good care of them.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE AN EYE TEST?
The College of Optometry recommends that we have a sight test every 2 years to make sure our prescriptions are up to date, but also to look for underlying health conditions like diabetes
Annual sight tests are recommended for:
under 16s
patients with diabetes
patients with glaucoma
family history of glaucoma & over 40
over 70
DO YOU OFFER FREE EYE TESTS?
Yes, we offer free NHS eye tests for patients:
students under 19
over 60
on benefits
with complex lenses
with glaucoma
family history glaucoma & over 40
with diabetes
Our sight tests cost £39 including retinal photography. We also offer a free adult sight test with every child test!
CAN I GET A SAME-DAY APPOINTMENT?
We have aren't always available for same day appointments, but please feel free to call us at 0161 440 9700 to see when the next available appointment is. We try to fit in urgent sight tests as soon as we can.
I HAVE AN EMERGENCY EYE CONDITION, CAN I CALL YOU?
Yes! We are qualified and registered for seeing people emergency eye conditions free of charge. Please call us and we'll put you through to our optician. If the condition is more serious please still give us a call and we can still give appropriate advice, and a referral to the hospital to avoid having to wait in A&E.
